Construction of a passenger terminal at Port Lotniczy Lublin SA airport in Świdnik – new contract of Budimex SA

The Management Board of Budimex SA reports that on 24 October 2011 the consortium of companies Budimex SA (leader) and Ferrovial Agroman SA (partner) signed with Port Lotniczy Lublin SA a contract for the “Construction of a passenger terminal together with a technical building, a technical and garage building, an airport fire brigade building and the production of detailed designs in terms of electric power, electric, low-current, water-pipe, sewage, heating, cooling, mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems and installations for the above construction structures under the task Development of the Regional Airport: Port Lotniczy Lublin S.A. (Świdnik).”

  • The contract is worth PLN 66,799,169.49 net
  • Commencement date: once the construction site has been handed over
  • Deadline: 9 months from the date of signing the contract
  • Guarantee period: 60 months
  • Financial terms and conditions:
    • Payment: 7 days from the date of delivering the invoice to the Contracting Authority
    • Bank guarantee of successful execution: 3% of the gross contractual amount
  • Penalties paid by the Contractor:
    • 0.01% of the net remuneration for each day of delay in completion of the works
    • 0.01% of the net remuneration for each day of the contractor failing to submit a correct and complete request for the issuing of a decision permitting the use of the construction structure
    • In the event of a delay in removing defects discovered in the guarantee period: 0.03% of the remuneration for each defective element of the works (penalty calculated on the value of a given item in the Lump-Sum Price Division table)
    • For withdrawing from the contract due to reasons attributable to the Contractor – 15% of the remuneration
  • In the event of the value of damage exceeding the stipulated penalties, the Contracting Authority is entitled to claim compensation on general terms

The contract value exceeds 10% of the equity of Budimex SA.
