D1 motorway

In June 2026, Budimex successfully completed the implementation of one of the most important infrastructure projects in Slovakia – the D1/D4 motorway junction in the Bratislava area. The investment was commissioned 90 days before the deadline provided for in the contract, confirming the company’s high efficiency and professionalism. The full commissioning of the eight-arm junction significantly improved regional and international traffic and relieved the capital of transit traffic. Thanks to the new infrastructure, drivers have gained shorter travel times, greater travel comfort and a higher level of safety. As part of the project, Budimex completed 160 construction facilities, including 18 bridges and 8 new motorway slip roads. The company also modernized over 5 kilometers of the existing D1 route, carrying out works while maintaining traffic continuity on one of the busiest roads in the country. Over 3000 employees and 1600 equipment units were involved in the implementation of the investment. The project was distinguished by a high degree of technical and logistical complexity, and its implementation is an important reference point for the infrastructure market in the region. Timely and efficient execution of the investment strengthens Budimex’s position as a reliable partner in the implementation of key infrastructure projects in Europe. The success of the D1/D4 node is also another proof of the successful expansion of the foreign company and its growing presence on the market.
