The Test Cell Aircraft Engine Testing Facility building is used to test some of Pratt & Whitney PW1000G’s most modern aircraft engines. It is one of the largest and quietest test chambers in the world. Both the 19 m high inlet chimneys and the 32 m high outlet chimney are equipped with batteries of silencers to dampen the sounds coming out of the test chamber. The chambers were made in reinforced concrete structure and architectural concrete technology, with particular attention to quality.
