The works carried out by Budimex included the design and construction of a football stadium in the category III standard of the Polish Football Association. The stadium is located on the site of a former sugar factory, on a plot of over 185 thousand. m2 in the belt of green recreational areas. The facility can accommodate 15.5 thousand. spectators, and in the parking lot located in front of the stadium there are spaces for approx. 1000 cars and 20 buses.
The façade of the stadium was designed in the form of longitudinal strips surrounding the building – metal panels with relatively large perforations. As a result, after activating the illumination system, the building is an illuminated body constituting a characteristic landmark. Due to difficult ground conditions, the building is founded on reinforced concrete piles. In order to obtain the required load-bearing capacity of the soil, the entire developed area had to be reinforced with columns. The project was awarded the title of the Construction of the Year PZiTB 2014 (second degree award).
