Artur Popko – the current Vice-President – will manage the Budimex Group

Artur Popko – the current Vice-President of Budimex – was appointed by the Supervisory Board to the position of President of the Management Board and CEO of Budimex SA. He will take up this role on May 20, 2021.

The personnel change caused by my resignation from my previous position went very smoothly. Artur Popko knows the company very well, has knowledge, competence and experience built over the years of work in the industry and Budimex. We have been working directly with each other for at least 11 years. During this time, together with his subordinate team, he built a leading role in the infrastructure and railway construction industry. Recently, he has also taken over responsibility for general and energy construction, and has also sat on the Supervisory Board of FBSerwis and Mostostal Kraków. The appointment of Artur Popko is part of a comprehensive succession program in the company covering all managerial positions – says Dariusz Blocher – the current President of the Management Board and CEO of Budimex SA.

Currently, Budimex is a leader in the road industry and remains among the top two largest contractors for the modernization of railway lines in Poland.

Artur Popko has been  associated with the Budimex Group (Budimex Dromex) since 2004. Initially, he was the Site Manager, and then the Contract Director. In 2009, he was promoted to the position of Regional Director and then Branch Director. From 2011, he managed the infrastructure construction area of Budimex SA. In 2019, he was appointed Vice-President, taking responsibility for the entire operational area of Budimex SA. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Bialystok University of Technology with a specialization in Transport Construction.
