The leader of the Polish construction sector has concluded a cooperation agreement with the University of Szczecin. The agreement was signed on 7 July 2025 and covers the areas of student internships, internships and joint research and development projects.
Budimex SA has been cooperating with the University of Szczecin for several years now – the purpose of the agreement is to expand its scope and formalise it. As part of the planned activities, joint projects are implemented, including, m.in, the possibility of organising student internships and internships at Budimex, which will allow students to gain valuable professional experience. It is also part of Budimex’s activities, promoting professional paths related to construction and presenting development prospects for young people in this industry.
We have been present in Western Pomerania for many years, implementing comprehensive investments, which are among the largest in this part of Polish. Budimex SA is not only the largest construction company in the country, but also a leader in Central and Eastern Europe. – says Łukasz Janowski, Regional Director of Budimex SA Many people educated at the University of Szczecin are already part of our team, so it is a natural step to be active in the area of educating the next generations of engineers and experts at this university. Both parties will also cooperate in the organization of training, educational programs and research projects. The involvement of Budimex employees in the project is aimed at improving the professional qualifications and practical skills of students of the University of Szczecin in the field of construction and related fields.
To say that this is an important agreement is to say nothing. This is a unique agreement, because we have not yet had an agreement with such a large partner. Budimex is an impressive company – not only in Poland, but also in Europe. It is one of the largest Polish companies, and it is difficult to imagine social and economic development without construction – noted Prof. Waldemar Tarczyński – Rector of the University of Szczecin. – This is an opportunity for students and employees of the University to see what certain processes look like not only in theory, but also in practice. The agreement aims to mutual exchange of knowledge and experience between the academic world and the construction industry, as well as to create opportunities for further development for young people entering the labour market. The program will be an opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge and experience from industry experts – while professionals can gain new perspectives and inspiration through freshness
and ambitions of young people.
