Budimex has successfully completed the contractual milestone on the construction of the D35 motorway on the Džbánov-Litomyšl section in the Czech Republic. The milestone included the construction of multi-purpose roads and utility roads. Currently,  the company is preparing to relocate the gas pipeline and continues work on road and bridge structures.

All works on the section of the D35 motorway between Džbánov and Litomyšla are being carried out according to the agreed schedule. Budimex reached an intermediate milestone a month ahead of schedule, completing the construction of multifunctional and utility roads in mid-March.  ” There were also no problems with the relocation of high-pressure gas pipelines, which allows us to start work on the remaining sections of the main route and bridge structures ,” explains Adam Barszczyński, Regional Director at Budimex.

The final postponement of the gas pipeline is planned for June. In the second half of this year, the company will also create a temporary detour of the I/35 road, necessary for the construction of a bridge over the existing roadway. Budimex is already carrying out intensive work on other bridge structures. For example, the pillars of the bridge over the valley of the Končinský stream, which is over 400 meters long, are currently being concreted.

The entire section, with a total length of 7,589 meters, is expected to be completed in early 2027.  The investment value is CZK 3.423 billion. This is the first motorway project implemented by Budimex in the Czech Republic since the company entered the Czech market.

In the Czech Republic, we are interested in implementing both large and smaller infrastructure projects. We also focus on projects related to water management.  Our long-term goal is to become a stable and reliable partner in the implementation of infrastructure projects on the Czech market ,” says Krzysztof Sokołowski, Budimex Director for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
