Budimex has completed construction works related to the investment in Uniejów. On September 20, 2019, the grand opening of the four-star Aparthotel “Termy Uniejów” took place. The building is distinguished by its unique shape and surroundings. The area of the facility occupies approx. 10 thousandm2.
Record-breaking realization
The Aparthotel in Uniejów, built by Budimex, is a modern and functional building that will accommodate as many as 172 apartments. “The implementation of such a large investment, with many technological and logistics solutions, was completed in record time. It took our company only 18 months. This confirms that Budimex specialises not only in road contracts, but also successfully implements modern facilities for the hotel industry – says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex S.A.
Budimex sews to measure
The construction of the hotel required solutions that would make it easier for the staff and guests to use its infrastructure. The general contractor has introduced many appropriate systems, which have made “Termy Uniejów” a very well-thought-out project. The functionality of the hotel is evidenced by m.in. a special way to the back of the building, appropriate organization of parking spaces or 4 elevators, one of which is intended for catering facilities. It is worth noting that the city where the investment was carried out is one of the most popular resorts offering visitors the use of thermal waters extracted deep in the earth. In the Aparthotel, they were also used in the heating system of the entire facility. The implementation of the investment was associated with numerous challenges, m.in. digging in irrigated soils, logistics, as well as appropriate protection and fencing of the surrounding forests. The construction was carried out in Natura 2000 areas.
During 18 months of work, Budimex used 4,500m3 of concrete, 670 tonnes of reinforcing steel and 257,500 silicates to erect the hotel in Uniejów. A building with a mullion and transom structure was created, with thin-layer plaster and façade panel cladding. ” The project uses mechanical ventilation in public areas, gravity ventilation in residential units and mechanical ventilation in hygiene and sanitary facilities ,” says Tomasz Ciszewski, site manager at Budimex SA.

The construction of the Aparthotel at such a record pace is due to m.in. construction team and the use of the DALUX program.
