Budimex to modernise tram infrastructure in Gdańsk

On 15 May 2014, Budimex signed a contract with the Municipality of Gdańsk represented by

Gdańskie Inwestycje Komunalne sp. z o.o. contract for the reconstruction of infrastructure

tram service in Gdańsk. The contract has a net value of PLN 53.3 million.

The scope of work includes:

• reconstruction of a double-track tram line on a section of 4.4 km in Siennicka Street,

and Lenartowicza from ul. Elbląska Street to ul. Sucharskiego together with the Przeróbka loop (tracks,

turnouts, intersections, tram platforms);

• reconstruction of Siennicka and Lenartowicza streets along the reconstructed line

tram with infrastructure and adjacent street intersections;

• reconstruction of the overhead contact line and lighting;

• renovation of the tunnel of the passage under the tram tracks;

• renovation of the road flyover in ul. Siennicka Street and the bridge over the Martwa Wisła.

The completion of this investment is scheduled for the end of September 2015.
