26 June this year Dariusz Blocher signed an agreement with LC Corp Invest XVII sp. z o.o. Project 22 sp. k. for the implementation of the “WOLA RETRO” investment, which will house the new headquarters of Budimex S.A. The construction site is located at the intersection of Skierniewicka and Siedmiogrodzka Streets in Warsaw’s Wola district.

As part of the investment, a new office building with a service part and an underground garage with a usable area of 13 thousandm2 will be erected, and the existing office and warehouse building will be rebuilt.

The area intended for the investment is currently developed. On the plot there is a pre-war building with four above-ground and one underground storeys, entered into the municipal register of monuments of the capital city of Warsaw. It will be modernized and adapted to modern standards, with the former façade reconstructed, in accordance with conservation recommendations. Bright facades have been designed, perforated with large windows of variable width. The enlarged glyphs will act as ‘light breakers’, reducing energy gains in the summer, reducing the energy demand for cooling office interiors. From the courtyard side, there is a fully glazed two-storey entrance hall, which clearly indicates the entrance to the building. After the completion of the works, this part of the investment will gain 4.7 thousand square meters2 usable space.

As part of the office and service complex “WOLA RETRO”, at the back of the plot, behind the existing building, a new building will be built with an L-shaped projection and variable height – 9 and 14 storeys. The space between the old and new buildings will be filled with an open courtyard. The total leasable area of the constructed office complex will amount to 24.5 thousandm2.

The completion of the works is planned for the second quarter of 2019.

The contract value amounts to PLN 125.02 million net, including a fixed value of PLN 84.06 million and a variable part, depending on the scope of work, in the amount of PLN 40.95 million.
