Budimex will build the S5 road from Wronczyn to Kościan

On 13 April 2016, Budimex signed a contract with the Poznań Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways for the design and construction of the S5 Poznań – Wrocław road, Wronczyn – Kościan Południe section. The contract has a net value of PLN 291.9 million.

The scope of work includes the construction of:

• 18.9-kilometer section of the expressway;
• 22 engineering structures;
• 2 road junctions: Czempin – at the intersection of the S5 expressway with the national road No. 5 and Kościan Północ – at the intersection of the S5 expressway with a connector to the existing national road No. 5;
• the “Kokorzyn” and “Sierakowo” service areas;
• access and technological roads;
• environmental protection equipment (culverts, animal crossings), traffic safety (barriers), as well as lighting and marking of the expressway.

Budimex will complete this investment within 32 months. Winter periods (from 15 December to 15 March) will not be included in the implementation time.

The construction of the expressway will reduce travel time between Poznań and Wrocław.
