The works will begin on 1 April 2014 and will last until 28 March 2017.
The scope of work includes:
– reconstruction of buildings A, B, C, D, E and F (storeys will be added in buildings D and E)
– construction of external air handling units in building B,
– execution of internal installations in modernized buildings,
– construction of a three-storey car park (for 210 passenger cars) and demolition of the landing strip for
Helicopters.
The usable area of the modernized buildings is 38.1 thousand m.kw, the usable area of the superstructure in buildings D and E – 2.7 thousand m.kw. It is worth recalling that for the City Hall in Białystok, Budimex is building pavilions G and H on the premises of the same hospital and is extending pavilion F.
The modernisation and expansion of the hospital in Białystok is another project of Budimex in the area of medical construction.
Other Budimex contracts from the last two years include, m.in, the construction of the Paediatric Pavilion at the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Wrocław, the modernisation of the Provincial Hospital im. Kopernika in Koszalin, expansion of the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Olsztyn, reconstruction and expansion of the Provincial Children’s Hospital im. J. Brudziński in Bydgoszcz, construction of the Provincial Hospital in Wrocław, construction of a brachytherapy ward and reconstruction of the chemotherapy ward at the J. Copernicus in Łódź and the construction of the Deafness Research and Treatment Centre in Kajetany.
