Budimex wins the Construction of the Year 2018 award

Budimex SA won an award in the “Construction of the Year 2018” competition for the construction of the multifunctional Nuctech factory in Kobyłka. The distinction was awarded in the category “industrial and production facilities”.

For the twenty-ninth time, the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians has handed out annual awards for the best construction projects. As in previous years, Budimex SA was among the winners of this prestigious award. This time, the recognition was won by the production and warehouse building with a social and office part and technical installations, created for Nuctech Warsaw Company. – The “Construction of the Year” award is a great honour for us, especially since the jury evaluates the projects taking into account the criteria on which Budimex has been placing particular emphasis for years. We are talking m.in. about good organization of work, and thus also the safety of people on the construction site – says Dariusz Blocher, President of Budimex SA.

The contract for the construction of the investment for Nuctech was signed in June 2017. As part of this project, a facility with a usable area of over 5.4 thousand^m2 was built in Kobyłka, which includes a production and warehouse hall and a social and office part. The general contractor also created a test shelter, a gatehouse with installations and a rainwater retention tank with a capacity of 160.00^m3  . The investment has been supplemented with elements of the necessary road infrastructure, i.e. a communication system with a fire road, sidewalks and parking lots.

The title of “Construction of the Year” is awarded to buildings that stand out m.in. modern technological solutions, the quality of work carried out and a safe working environment. Last year, Budimex SA became a triple winner in this competition. The awards were given to the company for the Kraków Zabłocie – Kraków Podgórze railway connection and for the design and construction of a section of the S5 expressway on the Poznań – Kraków route. The construction of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow was also awarded.
