Budimex’s projects awarded in the Top Municipal Investments 2013 competition

The results of the competition were announced on 15 May during the European Economic Congress in Katowice, organised by the PTWP Group.

The organisers of the competition – the PTWP Group and portalsamorządowy.pl – selected these projects from among several hundred municipal investments across the country. One of the criteria was their importance for the economy, the region and the population.

The Special School and Education Centre for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Dąbrowa Górnicza was put into use six months before the contractual deadline. The contract for its construction was signed in July 2010, and the works were to be completed after three years.

In the center at ul. There are two institutions – the Special School and Education Center for Visually Impaired and Blind Children im. Zofia Książek Bregułowa and the Special School Complex No. 5 im. John Paul II. In the common part for both schools, there is m.in. swimming pool, rehabilitation complex, canteens, kitchen and library. The center also has a dormitory for approx. hundreds of children. The facility is considered one of the most modern in Poland.

The T2 passenger terminal in Gdańsk – Rębiechowo was opened in March 2012.

The building has three floors above ground and one underground. On the first floor level, there is a connector that allows access to the old terminal. The total area of the new facility is 39.4 thousand. m.kw.

Combined with the existing one, the new terminal has increased the airport’s capacity to approx. 5 million people a year. Its construction took two years. The terminal was awarded in the Construction of the Year and Tri-City Wings competitions.
