Budimex’s projects awarded in the Wings of the Tri-City competition!

The Karczemki Junction won an award in the “Metamorphosis of the Tri-City” category. The residents decided that this is the most interesting and important change that has taken place in their region. Where traffic jams have always formed,  Budimex has built a collision-free connection between the Tri-City bypass and the W-Z Route.
The junction has also improved the connection of the airport im. Lech Wałęsa and the ring road from the center of Gdańsk. It is worth noting that Budimex carried out the works not closing the streets in the construction area, but only narrowing them.

A prestigious award was also given to the T2 passenger terminal at the airport in Rębiechowo. The building was awarded in the “Business Aura of the Tri-City” category. The residents appreciated the efficient implementation of the investment and the interesting architecture of the building. The modernisation of the airport infrastructure has increased the capacity of Gdansk Airport from 2.5 to 5 million passengers per year.
This is not the only award granted to this investment. The terminal also won the first prize in the Construction of the Year 2011 competition.

Both the Karczemki Junction and the passenger terminal in Rębiechowo were completed ahead of schedule.
