The construction of the Drezdenko bypass in the Lubuskie Voivodeship is progressing. As part of the works completed so far, 100% of the planned soil replacements, 50% of the embankments, all planned crossings for small animals and most of the farm crossings and bridge supports have been completed.

Work on the construction of the Drezdenko bypass started on February 5 this year. The scope of the investment includes the construction of a new 3.56 km long road from scratch along the DW 160 route, including, m.in, the construction of a 345 m long bridge over the valley of the Noteć and Stara Noteć rivers. The bridge will be a seven-span composite steel and reinforced concrete structure founded on prefabricated piles.

Budimex SA, as the General Contractor of the investment, will also construct an 18-metre-long railway viaduct, a roundabout in Klesno that will connect the DW 160 road with the DW 156 road, four utility crossings and 5 crossings for small animals. As part of the task, the existing gas pipeline will be rebuilt and secured and teletechnical and electrical collisions will be removed. The works will be accompanied by the construction of full sewage and sanitary infrastructure.

The road being built by Budimex will be a class G provincial road with a 1×2 cross-section. We are building a road of the KR-4 traffic category with a lane width of 3.5 m in each direction. The aim of our investment is to increase the comfort of road users and improve the safety of residents by moving the traffic of wheeled vehicles, in particular heavy goods vehicles, which have been passing through the city so far, from the centre of Drezdenko ,” says Sławomir Krekora, Contract Director at Budimex SA.

So far, as part of the completed works, 100% of the planned soil replacements (with a capacity of 43 thousand m3), 50% of the embankments (with a volume of 290 thousand m3), all of the planned five crossings for small animals, 3 out of 4 farm crossings and 7 out of 8 bridge supports have been completed. The reconstruction of the existing gas pipeline was also completed and its protection was made. Currently, works related to the slope and construction of the road embankment are continued, as well as works related to the construction of the last utility crossing, the railway viaduct and the last bridge support – the abutment.

The construction of the Drezdenko bypass is carried out by the DBI team, Western Branch, Region 1, under the direction of Łukasz Janowski, and Sławomir Krekora, as the Contract Director.

The gross value of the contract is PLN 108 million. The investment is carried out in the “optimize and build” formula. The planned completion of the works will take place in October 2026.
