Budimex – the general contractor for the construction of the tram route from Śródmieście to Wilanów in Warsaw – is starting the previously announced action of planting 400 additional trees under the name Przystanek Zieleń. The first plantings will begin in spring. In total, more than 1000 new trees will be planted along the tram line to Wilanów as part of this action and compensatory plantings.
The campaign is addressed to housing communities and cooperatives located in the Mokotów and Wilanów districts (in the vicinity of the construction of the Tram to Wilanów), which have land on which new trees can be planted.
The campaign will be divided into at least three editions. The first will be implemented in the spring of 2023, the next in early autumn this year and the last – in the spring of 2024. In the first place, Budimex will select those communities/cooperatives that are closest to the construction route of the Tram to Wilanów for the campaign.
Budimex wants to plant the first 130 trees with housing communities this spring. These will be Japanese Cherries, Small-leaved Limes and Maples. These trees grow well in cities with rapid growth. Communities will be able to choose the species of trees, while consulting with Budimex in dendrological consultation.
Housing communities and cooperatives must have land on which trees can be planted and be located in the vicinity of the Construction of the Tram to Wilanów. They must also have resources that allow them to take care of the planted trees indefinitely.

Budimex – the largest Polish general construction contractor has been implementing the largest tram investment in the capital since September 2022 for the investor Tramwaje Warszawa. The construction of the tram route to Wilanów is an investment aimed at improving the quality of life of many Warsaw residents. The route will connect Wola, Ochota and the Western Railway Station with Wilanów and Mokotów. Thanks to this, the residents of Wilanów will be able to get to the city centre in less than 30 minutes during rush hour!
The employees involved in the implementation carry out work on the construction site and design work at the same time. Currently, 209 people and 37 units of equipment are working on the construction site. Works are underway on the section from ul. Puławska Street to Aleja Wilanowska. In February, works will also begin along Aleja Rzeczpospolitej in Wilanów.
