The spring edition of apprenticeships for students of Budimex technicians, launched in March this year, was carried out on such a large scale for the first time, including contracts throughout Poland, such as Warszawa Zachodnia, the Museum of Polish History, the Construction of the Sports Hall in Gdynia, or the S1 Expressway between Podwarpie and Dąbrowa Górnicza. Apprenticeships with a leader in the construction industry are an opportunity for participants to gain practical skills necessary for their future profession; learn about various projects and specializations or build a network of professional contacts. It is an opportunity to learn about the company’s work culture, as well as to deepen knowledge under the guidance of the best specialists in the industry. The student internship program is also an opportunity to develop soft skills, such as effective communication, time management, problem solving and teamwork. This year’s edition will be continued in autumn, and the program itself will operate in the following years.

‎- We are pleased with the effects of the spring edition of the apprenticeship program addressed to technical schools. We see a huge potential in these young people, which we have the opportunity to bring out and encourage to cooperate with our company, also in the future. For students, it is not only an excellent opportunity to gain practical skills, but also to verify the theory they acquire at school. Our experienced specialists are happy to share their knowledge and experience. In addition, participants have the opportunity to learn about the work culture and values on which we build our business. We believe that the apprenticeship programme for students at Budimex contributes to the development of young talents and promotes the construction industry as an attractive place to work – says Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Director of the Human Resources Management Division at Budimex.

The largest general contractor in Poland has long been involved in the development of young talents, supporting them at the beginning of their professional career. For many years, the company has been implementing a student internship program, thanks to which over 1400 people have already gained their first professional experience. In the autumn of 2022.Budimex, in cooperation with the Zwolnieni z Teorii Foundation, toured schools across the country, visiting students from 127 technical schools on-site and 70 remotely. The visits to schools resulted in Budimex’s cooperation with almost 40 technical schools in the country, and further cooperation is planned, consisting not only in providing places for apprenticeships, but also in the implementation of educational lectures or visits to investments throughout the country during open days.

Budimex invites interested students to take part in autumn internships. This is another opportunity to gain practical experience with the leader of the Polish construction market. We invite all interested to contact praktyki.technikum@budimex.pl.
