Official opening of a modern center in Dąbrowa Górnicza

The contract for the construction of the centre, worth PLN 51.8 million net, was signed on 27 July 2010. According to the contract, the construction was to be completed after three years. Budimex completed it six months ahead of schedule, and already at the end of February this year. The students started their education in a new school.

In the center at ul. There are two institutions – the Special School and Education Center for Visually Impaired and Blind Children im. Zofia Książek Bregułowa and the Special School Complex No. 5 im. John Paul II. Education covers children from preschool to high school. In the common part for both schools, there is m.in. swimming pool, rehabilitation complex, canteens, kitchen and library. The center also has a dormitory for approx. hundreds of children.

The complex of nine pavilions, forming one block, was built on a 5.6-hectare plot. The built-up area is 9.7 thousand m.kw, the usable area of the pavilions – 18.8 tys.m.kw, green areas occupy 26.8 thousand m.kw, sports fields and playgrounds – 3.2 thousand m.kw.

The center is considered one of the most modern in Poland.
