Work is progressing at the Czechowice–Dziedzice railway station. Currently, under the contract, Budimex is implementing m.in. construction of platform No. 2, construction of four main tracks, four additional tracks and eight siding tracks on the northern side of the station. In addition, the construction of turnouts at the eastern and western heads of the station is underway. The progress of the entire work is already 77%. Works are on schedule.

The new platform is expected to be made available to passengers for use in June 2023. New platforms are also being built at the Goczałkowice-Zdrój stop, as well as a new track on the section Most Wisła and Czechowice-Dziedzice, along with the overhead contact line and traffic control devices. The completion of this stage of work is planned for  April 2023.

There is less than a year left to the end, during which several key elements remain to be completed, such as: the completion of the construction of the track system in the northern part of the station and railway line No. 139 along with the overhead contact line, the railway traffic control industry; a railway viaduct over Legionów Street in Czechowice-Dziedzice or a retention reservoir at the station to secure the discharge of m.in. rainwater from the adjacent urban area. Cleaning and finishing works will be carried out on the finished sections, along with the execution of the designed greenery – says Wojciech Głuc, Budimex Contract Director.

Under the contract signed in October 2019, Budimex is responsible for:

 replacement of approximately 47 km of tracks, 56 km of overhead contact line and 119 turnouts;

 reconstruction of 23 engineering structures, including 8 viaducts and 4 bridges;

 modernization of 3 rail-road crossings;

–   construction of the Local Control Centre at the Czechowice-Dziedzice station;
