The construction of another “House from the Heart” has come to an end! On 19 December this year, the Budimex Group and its partners commissioned a modern, modular house for Mrs. Teresa from Wołomin – a woman who, despite numerous adversities, managed to maintain extraordinary cheerfulness and energy. The ceremonial handover of the keys was an opportunity to summarize the joint effort and involvement of companies in the third edition of the “House from the Heart” campaign.

The “Home from the Heart” campaign is an initiative of the Budimex Group, which for years has aimed to help families in need create a safe place to live. Teresa, who lost her home in a fire and also struggled with personal losses, such as the loss of her husband and son, is another person whose life changed thanks to this action. Her strength, cheerfulness and determination touched the hearts of many people who joined in the implementation of this project.

Modern modular house in Wołomin

The house for Mrs. Teresa was built in modular technology, which allows for quick construction while maintaining the highest quality standards. Individual elements of the house were prepared in the factory of one of the sponsors, Mostostal Kraków, and only assembled on site, which significantly shortened the construction time. The house has been designed to be cozy and adapted to the needs of the future resident.

– The “House from the Heart” project is an initiative under which we provide help to people
in a difficult life situation. We have been doing this proudly for 3 years now. As a company active on the construction market, approaching its business in a responsible manner, we want to make good use of our competences and experience. Commitment to the local communities in which we operate and support for people in need is both a reflex of the heart and an obligation for us. We have the resources and capabilities to be able to change reality and we do it with the support of our teams. Giving our employees space to do good, empower, use their knowledge and skills for a noble cause is an additional and very important value that we follow in our social projects. I hope that the new home will become a place where Teresa will regain peace and a sense of stability
,” said  Artur Popko, President of Budimex SA.

“House from the Heart” is more than just a project – it is an expression of our values and proof that by helping others, we can really change their lives for the better. In the Budimex Group, care for people is the basis of our activities, and this initiative shows how much can be achieved through joint commitment. I am glad that thanks to the work of our teams and the support of partners, Teresa has been given a space where she can start a new, peaceful stage of her life ,” added Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Member of the Management Board of Budimex SA.

 – The campaign was supported by volunteers from the PFR Group as part of the “Volunteers for a Start” program of the PFR Foundation and a charity fundraiser. “I am grateful that the action to help Teresa has met with such a great response from the employees of the PFR Group and socially sensitive companies, with Budimex at the forefront,” added Marek Buczak, Director of the Polish Fund for International Development at PFR.

Christmas in a new home – a finale full of emotions

Thanks to the completion of the construction before Christmas, Mrs. Teresa was able to spend this special time in a new, safe house. This is the third edition of the “House from the Heart” campaign. In previous editions, the Budimex Group helped the 16-person family of Magda from Radomsko and the 8-person family of Iwona and Krzysztof from the Pomeranian Voivodeship, completing the turnkey construction of houses for them. Each of these initiatives is an example of how working together and engaging can change lives for the better.
