On Tuesday, May 14, a new tram connection was launched along Goworka, Spacerowa and J. Gagarina streets. Thanks to the commissioning of Spacerowa and Goworka streets for trams and cars, the first passengers at dawn travelled along the new tram route. The over one-kilometre section of track between Czerniakowska and Belwederska Streets is one of the stages of the construction of a new tram line to Wilanów, implemented by Budimex. Thus, passengers from Dolny Mokotów gained a new connection with Śródmieście, Wola and Bemowo.

The tram line that runs along this route is No. 11. Thanks to it, the journey of the residents of Sielce and Czerniaków to the city center will be shortened to a quarter of an hour. The new section of tram No. 11 has four new stops: Goworka – on Goworka Street, on the eastern side of Puławska Street, Spacerowa – at the intersection of Spacerowa and J. Gagarina and Belwederska Streets, Sielecka – at the intersection of J. Gagarina and Sielecka Streets, and Sielce – on the western side of the intersection of J. Gagarina and Czerniakowska Streets.

I would like to thank the contractors, Balzola and Budimex, for completing the entire Gagarin, Spacerowa and Goworka routes. We are commissioning a part of the new tram line to Wilanów. As a city, we will do everything to ensure that the next sections on ul. Belvedere, Sobieski and Rzeczpospolita Palaces should be implemented as soon as possible – commented Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw, on the launch of the new tram connection.
