On June 25, 2009, the award ceremony for the winners of the “Construction of the Year 2008” competition took place. Budimex submitted eight projects to the competition; All of them were awarded. Six awards were awarded to Budimex Dromex, and two to Budimex Nieruchomości.

The awarded facilities completed by Budimex Dromex are:

  • Atelier Residence at ul. Swamp in Warsaw – first degree award,
  • expansion and modernization of the District Court in Olsztyn – second degree award,
  • construction of the Siekierkowska Route on the section from ul. Bora Komorowskiego to ul. Mars with the Mars node – Płowiecka – second degree award
  • reconstruction of Grunwaldzki Square in Wrocław – third degree award
  • construction of the building of the District Court of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Szamotuły – third degree award
  • Krakow Public Transport – Fast Tram infrastructure – diploma of appreciation

The awards for Budimex Nieruchomości were granted for:

  • A residential and commercial building with elements of land development at ul. Korsaka 6 in Warsaw – first degree award,
  • a complex of multi-family residential buildings with a service part and an underground garage – Osiedle Kocjana in Warsaw – second degree award.

The competition is organized by the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Central Office of Building Supervision. A total of 67 construction sites were submitted to this year’s edition. Both new and modernized facilities are evaluated. The jury takes into account not only the quality of the works, but also the organization of the construction and the time of its implementation, the technical and technological solutions used, and the impact of the investment on the environment and the economy of the region. The competition has a long tradition; This year it is organized for the 19th time. The awards granted by PZiTB have been called the “Construction Oscars”, which proves the importance of this project.
