On Thursday, 28 March, Budimex connected, during construction works, a new tunnel at level -1 from the side of Aleje Jerozolimskie with the already completed new tunnel from the side of Wola.  The connection took place 8 meters underground under the running trains. By 30 March, a temporary elevator to the footbridge over the platforms from Aleje Jerozolimskie will be launched. By mid-June, Budimex will have completed works on platforms 1, 2 and 3.

Work will continue on level -1 of the station. More than 600 people and 160 equipment units work on the construction site every day. Platforms 1, 2 and 3 are currently being constructed and roofing this part of the station is being built. Budimex is also carrying out finishing works on the new station hall from the side of Wola.

The completion of works related to the passenger infrastructure is scheduled for the end of 2024. The construction of the Warszawa Zachodnia station is one of the largest construction sites in Poland, worth over PLN 2 billion. As part of it, over 100 turnouts and 30 km of tracks have already been rebuilt. Thanks to the works, the cross-city line gained a new connection with the track system of the Radom line and the small ring line. A new track exit to the airport was also built as part of the CPK project.
