The scope of work included the replacement of 47 km of tracks, 56 km of overhead contact line and 119 turnouts. As part of the investment, 3 rail-road crossings were modernized, we rebuilt the platforms at the Czechowice-Dziedzice station and the Goczałkowice-Zdrój and Zabrzeg passenger stops. In addition, new signal box buildings of the Local Control Centre and Operation Section were built, as well as railway traffic control equipment and systems. In total, the project included 8 railway viaducts, 4 railway bridges, 7 culverts, including 2 with the function of an animal crossing, and platform stairs. In all underground passages, murals were made depicting the history of the railway and its impact on the immediate surroundings.
