At the beginning of March, Budimex – the largest Polish general contractor – is inaugurating another, refreshed edition of the student internship programme for 2023 under the slogan “Practice is the measure of success”. The company has been supporting the development of young people in the industry for several years, organizing m.in for them. paid internships as part of the Budimex Academy project. This program lasts until the end of September. As every year, the general contractor has prepared 250 places for students from all over Polish. In addition to construction students, the Budimex Academy is also addressed to people looking for internships m.in. in the area of HR, finance or IT. The next edition of the Internship Programme at Budimex is launched. The general contractor offers students dreaming of a career in the construction industry m.in. remuneration for internships, medical care, support of a dedicated Supervisor, gaining valuable experience with the leader of the Polish construction market, as well as the possibility of permanent employment.
“One of our largest projects is the annual Internship Program, during which we accept about 250 people for various areas of our organization’s activities. Our goal is to pass on knowledge and familiarize these young people with business and real work on a construction site,” says Anna Karyś-Sosińska, Member of the Management Board, Director of the Human Resources Management Division of Budimex SA.
On the www.akademiabudimex.pl website, which has been completely refreshed and gained a new graphic design, in addition to the stories of the Interns, there are new elements such as Q&A, a clock counting down to the start of the Internship, as well as a section with descriptions of offices and constructions, so that candidates can get to know the company better. The recruitment game, the result of which is an element of the candidate’s assessment, has also changed – the application process has been shortened by limiting the game time. Currently, it consists of 12 questions and is divided into two areas: construction and office.
– In total, since 2014. as many as 1419 Interns appeared in our organization. It happens that we are looking for 1-2 people for a given department, but there are also large contracts, i.e. Warszawa Zachodnia station or the Port of Gdynia, where the number of apprentices varies from 20 to 30 people,” adds Anna Karyś-Sosińska.
