Budimex’s task was to expand the port infrastructure, i.e. to reconstruct the existing Zbożowe Quay (its target length is 230 m), enabling an increase in the depth in front of the structure and increasing the length of the mooring line by extending the quay, and to build the German Quay on the northern side of the peninsula and a section closing this quay from the east to the junction with the existing Słowackie Quay. The latter is to serve as a berth quay. The expansion of the infrastructure also included accompanying facilities, which are the equipment of hydrotechnical facilities, such as: extension of tracks, transshipment and railway equipment, construction of road surfaces and underground utilities, as well as dredging works on the basin surrounding the peninsula.
