The contract was designed and built for the first stage of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway, i.e. the revitalization of the Kokoszkowska Railway. Budimex has built a double-track railway line with a total length of about 17 km in a completely new track: from its connection to the Gdańsk Wrzeszcz station to the connection with railway line No. 2010 (Kościerzyna – Gdynia). There are also 8 passenger stops with 15 single-edge platforms and a stop with one island platform. In addition, a local control center and a technical station were built. As part of the works, the existing roads and pavements were rebuilt, parking lots in the “Park and Ride” system and bicycle parking lots were built. As part of the investment, 16 railway viaducts, 6 road viaducts, 5 passages under the tracks, 3 footbridges and 3 animal crossings were built. In addition, the investment included: design, construction and commissioning of electronic safety systems, rail traffic control, railway communication and information for travelers. The contract also included the construction of a comprehensive drainage system and numerous environmental protection devices. The built PKM line is a permanent part of the Tri-City landscape.
