Work is underway on the construction of the Installation Terminal for the needs of the Offshore Wind Farms in Świnoujście. The investment is being carried out by Budimex for Orlen Neptun. The progress of the works reaches 50%. The works are proceeding according to plan.
The implementation of the investment has been divided into two parts, i.e. the hydrotechnical part and the onshore part. In the onshore part of the investment, for which ORLEN Neptun is responsible as the Investor and Budimex S.A. as the Contractor, new storage areas are being built for offshore wind turbine elements, such as towers, blades and nacelles with a total area of approximately 17 ha, communication infrastructure, as well as new buildings: administration and office and workshop dedicated to the terminal’s customers.
The construction of new storage yards was associated with the performance of earthworks: excavations in the amount of 116 thousand m3 and the embankment, which are completed. Currently, the structural layers of the surface are being made of aggregate reinforced with geogrid. A total of 176 thousand. tons of component components, from which 300 thousand. tonnes of 0/63 mixture, half of which, i.e. 150 thousand tonnes, is already built-in,” says Sylwester Góra, Budimex Contract Director.
A total of 844 CFA piles with a total length of 6,696.0 m and 1107 jet-grounting columns with a total length of 11,7903.0 m were drilled.
The designed cubature facilities – the administrative, office and workshop building – are made in a raw – closed state. Currently, works related to the installation of aluminum joinery, roofing works and assembly of internal installations are underway.
Industry-specific works related to the construction of rainwater, sanitary, water, electrical and teletechnical sewage systems are also underway – adds Sylwester Góra.
In the coming weeks, Budimex S.A. plans to continue to perform structural layers of the pavement, external and internal networks, façade works on the workshop building and roofing works on the office building.
Budimex started the implementation of the investment in October 2023. The completion of the works is planned for March 2025.
